Water conection
Connection to the heating circuit will be at the rear of the
boiler.
A diagonal connection must be used (e.g. return
on the right, outlet on the left). It should be noted
that the heating return cannot be on the same side as
the gas inlet.
Connecting the system to the water mains should be done
according to current regulations.
For water whose hardness exceeds 20º French, it is
advisable to install a water softner.
Its low inertia permits meeting system demand at any time.
Given the low water content, it requires clean circulating
water. So, the following precautions are to be taken
into account before connecting the boiler.
- New installation: Carry out washing, then flushing.
- Old installation: Ask a specialist to remove any scale /
sludge in the system and then flush it out.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Never top up a boiler while it is hot. Sudden cooling
might cause the cast-iron heat-exchanger to crack due
to the change in temperature.
FILLING UP THE BOILER
The system must be designed to ensure a water flow across
the boiler in order to reach a
∆
T between 10ºC and 20ºC.
Should the water stop flowing all of a sudden, the
limit thermostat will cause the boiler to shut down,
requiring manual reset.
The system design should, therefore, assure a
sufficiently gradual regulation as to satisfy the response
time of thermostats.

Installation
3.1
Installating the boiler
G 1000 boilers have been designed to be installed without
a base, on the floor of the boiler room, provided it is solid,
flat, dry and non-combustible. Otherwise, refer to the drawing
below.
The boiler’s feet must never be built in (free expansion).
The dimensions in the table below should be complied with,
allowing enough room around the boiler for connecting the
water and gas circuits, and for maintenance.
In this service space, storage of flammable products
is strictly forbidden.
Any heat-sensitive wall must be protected using
suitable insulation.
