7. CONNECTING THE DHW PROGRAMMABLE TIMER
The storage boilers can mount a 62 mm diameter programmable timer for adjusting DHW operating times (daily or weekly).
To install the timer, proceed as follows:
• Pull up the cover of the storage boiler and remove.
• Cut the knockouts securing the cover with a pair of nippers.
• Mount the timer and tighten the screws into the relative holes.
CONNECTING THE ELECTRIC DHW PROGRAMMABLE TIMER
• Disconnect the boiler from the mains power supply using the two-pole switch.
• Remove the boiler cover by pulling it up and open the door at the front by pulling on its corners.
• Remove the screws securing the control strip and turn it towards the front.
• Remove the screws and take out the electrical system housing.
• Remove the yellow jumper on the terminal block M2 of the boiler (contacts 5– 6) and connect the “common and normally
open” contact of the DHW programmable timer to the terminal block (use a “HAR VV – F” 2 x 0,75 mm2 harmonised
cable).
• Insert the connecting cable through the grommets.
The programmable timer is powered with a 2-pin cable connected downline from the two-pin switch (contact L– N).
If the programmable timer is battery powered without 230 V input, do not connect the power cable.
To connect the programmable timer correctly, consult the wiring diagram in figure 5.
