Hints for best reception
•
The Micro Hi Fi has a built in FM wire antenna (21). This wire should be unravelled
and fully extended for the best FM reception.
•
If FM stereo signal is being received, the stereo indicator
will be displayed
on the LCD screen. When a mono signal is received, *ST* will not be displayed.
•
In areas of poor reception, you may wish to switch to FM mono mode. Press the
“st/mo” button (15) to switch between stereo mode and mono mode.
•
The Micro Hi Fi comes with an AM loop antenna. Connect the AM antenna to the
AM socket (22) on the side of the Micro Hi Fi. If AM reception is poor, rotate and
reposition the loop antenna to improve the reception.
•
Position both AM and FM antenna as far from the Micro Hi Fi as possible to reduce
the chance of electronic interference.
•
AM reception may be improved by placing the antenna as high as possible, such as
on top of a bookshelf or entertainment unit.
•
Radio reception may vary according to the signal strength in your local area.
