XI. Troubleshooting
No Light On / No Display
•
Check that the power is switched on at the power outlet.
No Sound
•
Check that the volume control is not set to the minimum setting.
•
Check that the device is not set to “MUTE”. Press “mute” on the remote
to unmute the Micro Hi Fi.
•
Check that the speakers are plugged into the Micro Hi Fi.
FM Radio Reception is Poor
•
Adjust the position of the antenna to get the best signal reception.
Make sure that the antenna is extended to full length.
•
Check the radio is correctly tuned into a radio station with a clear signal.
AM Radio Reception is Poor
•
Adjust the position of the antenna to get the best signal reception.
Try rotating the antenna to gain better reception.
•
The antenna should be placed away from electrical devices such as computers,
refrigerators, power tools or wiring. The antenna should point in the direction of
the transmitter and be positioned to minimise the effect of obstructions such as
trees and buildings.
•
Check the radio is correctly tuned into a local radio station with a clear signal.
•
Place the antenna as far from the Micro Hi Fi as possible.
Erratic Functioning
•
Try the above solutions, and if nothing works, reset the software by unplugging
the unit. Leave the unit unplugged for 2 minutes, and then plug in and switch on.
Remote Control won’t work
•
Make sure there are no obstacles obscuring the front of the Micro Hi Fi.
•
Check if the battery in the remote control needs replacement. The remote control
uses 2 AAA batteries for correct operation.
•
Check polarity (+/–)of the batteries
