Maximum Lens Thread Length on C-mount

cameras shipped with a C-mount lens adapter are equipped with an IR cut filter as
standard equipment. The filter is mounted in the lens adapter. As shown in Figure 5-5, the location
of the filter limits the thread length of the lens used on the camera. The thread length of the C-
mount lens must be less than 7.5 mm. If a lens with a longer thread length is used, the IR cut filter
will be damaged or destroyed and the camera will no longer operate.
