Preparation
Type labels in different languages are included in the package. Stick the language label in your
language over the German language label on the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter.
Getting Started, Use
Follow the safety instructions and the other information in this operation manual!
• Turn off the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter by turning the control knob counter-clockwise
until it stops and you can hear a click.
You should always switch off the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter by means of the
control knob first, before you plug it into a mains socket and connect the lamp!
• Plug the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter into a standard earthed mains socket (wall socket).
• Connect a suitable lamp that you can dim to the front of the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter.
Check the operating instructions of the lamp which you intend to connect whether
it is possible to dim the lamp. Note the minimum and maximum load capacity in the
chapter “Technical Data”.
The LED mains outlet dimmer adapter switches off when overloaded. Once the
overload has been removed (and the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter perhaps has
cooled off), the LED plug-in dimmer can be used again.
If the lamp you are using comes with its own dimmer, do not connect it to the LED
mains outlet dimmer adapter. This also applies if the lamp has a USB charging
output for example.
• When you turn the control knob to the right in a clockwise direction the lamp connected will
switch on (if necessary, switch on the switch of the lamp).
• The light of the connected lamp becomes ever brighter, the more you turn the knob to the
right.
• Turn off the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter by turning the control knob to the left in a
counter-clockwise direction until it stops and you can hear a click.
At times the light cannot be dimmed properly, although the manufacturer has marked
the lamp, which you have connected to the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter, as
“dimmable”.
It can happen that the light flickers at low brightness or flickering may occur at a
particular dimmer position.
Some LED lights (although marked as “dimmable”) cannot be dimmed under a cer-
tain minimum brightness (for example, dimming is only possible between 60% and
100%, but when it is less than 60%).
This is not a fault of the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter, but due to technicalities
in the lamp’s electronics. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the LED mains
outlet dimmer adapter will dim a connected lamp properly due to the vast variety of
different products.
Troubleshooting
The lamp connected is flickering
• Check whether the lamp can be dimmed (note the operating instructions for the lamp or, if
applicable, the description on the lamp).
• Use a higher/different dimmer position.
• Pull out the lamp’s power plug from the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter and turn the plug
by 180° and try plugging it back in (this reverses “L” and “N” of the lamp’s power plug). Check
again the dimming function of the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter with the lamp connected.
• Pull out the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter from the mains socket and turn the plug by
180° and try plugging it back in (this reverses “L” and “N” of the lamp’s power plug). Check
again the dimming function of the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter with the lamp connected.
The lamp connected does not light
• Check whether the lamp can be dimmed (note the operating instructions for the lamp or, if
applicable, the description on the lamp).
• Use a higher/different dimmer position.
• Switch on the lamp using the lamp’s own switch.
• Use a different lamp. This lamp is not compatible with the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter.
After the LED lamp or the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter are turned off, the LEDs of
the LED lamp are still glowing
• Plug the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter into the socket with the plug turned by 180° and/
or the lamp’s power plug into the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter. This reverses “L” and
“N” respectively.
The LED mains outlet dimmer adapter gets warm
• The LED mains outlet dimmer adapter becomes warm, especially when lamps with higher
power ratings are connected. This is normal.
Care and Cleaning
Before cleaning the product, unplug the lamp from the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter. Dis-
connect then the LED mains outlet dimmer adapter from the power supply by unplugging it
completely from the mains socket.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these
could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household
waste. Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
