DIGITAL VOICE AND SECURE DIGITAL VOICE - OPERATION

Making a Digital or Secure Digital Voice call operates the same as making a 

regular voice call and can be activated before or during a voice call.

Note that both transmitting and receiving transceivers must be set to the same 

level of encryption i.e. DV-56 or SDV-256.

For the digital voice system to work at its optimum level, each transceiver needs 

to wait for the end of transmissions tones before beginning to transmit. This 

allows the baud rates sufficient time to synchronise for optimal clarity of trans

-

mission.
