Tilt the joystick to the "Down" position
when the mower unit reaches the collar of
the green.
Lower the mower units to start rotating the
reel cutters (cutting cylinders).
Note:
During cutting work, the reel cutters (cutting
cylinders) will rotate or stop in sync with the
up and down motion of the mower units.
Set the reel rotation switch to the "Stop"
position after the cutting work completed.
Reel Excess Discharge System
Warning
The reel cutter rotates while holding down the
mower unit up-switch when the reel rotation
switch is set to the "Rotation" position.
Set the reel rotation switch to the "Stop"
position except during mowing, backlapping or
using the reel excess discharge system.
Warning
The reel cutter rotates when using the reel
excess discharge system.
Keep hands and feet away from moving parts.
Caution
Before using the reel excess discharge
system, make sure that there are no people
around the machine.
Important
The reel cutter keeps rotating even if the
mower unit is raised to the highest position
while holding down the mower unit up-switch.
Preventing lumps of clippings from falling
onto the green.
Use the reel excess discharge system to
remove the clippings inside the reel cutter
while operating mowing or when discarding
clippings.
Stop the engine.
Brush the clippings gathered on the
bracket.
At the time the clippings come inside of
the reel cutter.
Install the grass catchers.
Sit on the seat.

Start the engine.
Raise all mower units.
Shift the throttle lever to the "High Speed"
position.
Set the reel rotation switch to the
"Rotation" position.
Hold down the mower unit up-switch for
about a second.
While holding down the mower unit up-
switch, the reel cutter rotates as the
mower unit rising to remove the clippings
inside the reel cutter.
Set the reel rotation switch to the "Stop"
position after the operation completed.
Stop the engine.
Vehicle wash
When washing the vehicle after mowing
operation, the clippings can be removed by
using the reel excess discharge system.
Stop the engine.
Set the reel positive/reverse rotation
switch to the
“
Reverse rotation
”
position.
Sit on the seat.
Start the engine.
Raise all mower units.
Shift the throttle lever to the "High Speed"
position.
Set the reel rotation switch to the
"Rotation" position.
Stand on the right side of the machine and
hold down the up switch for about 2 - 3
seconds.
While holding down the mower unit up-
switch, the reel cutter rotates as the
mower unit rising to remove the clippings
inside the reel cutter.
Set the reel rotation switch to the "Stop"
position after the operation completed.
Stop the engine.
