Cooling of laser cluster
Two liquid cooling pumps are positioned on as shown below cooling the laser cluster directly.
Thermal phase change materiel ensures optimum transfer of heat from cluster to cooling system. Each
cooling pump connects via two hoses to radiators located on the right hand side of projector.

The third liquid cooling pump is mounted on a heatsink, cooling the DMD assembly. The liquid cooling pump is
connected to a radiator mounted at the rear end of the projector.
8.3 Fans
The system consists of 9 fans each to provide cooling for its designated area.
RPM control of each fan is tightly enforced by the system processor via FPGA, and will adapt RPM based on
the temperature differential between air inlet and air outlet at any given time. Fan speed can be affected by the
mode the projector is running in (e. g. Quiet mode). To maximize lifetime and minimize stress on critical
components, the fan system runs idle when the projector is in standby (projector is shut off, but power is
applied). If a fan operates outside normal parameters (+/- 200 rpm) for more than 2 minutes, the system will
shut down and status LED will indicate thermal failure (red flash). After toggling mains power, the system may
be restarted and fan monitor (in service menu) activated to properly identify which fan is inoperative or
operating outside nominal values. All nominal RPM values are recorded in Desktop mode.
All nominal RPM values are recorded in Desktop mode at 25°C, 0m above sea level
