A.1 Short description
Introduction
The button module is used for simple projector control. It can operate as a standalone unit, or as a slave unit to the touch panel
controller.
It provides 8 illuminated buttons (A), which are on parallel routed on 8 opto-isolated inputs (B). This makes it possible for an existing
automation system to control these buttons remotely.
The unit also provides 4 status LED’s (C) and 4 relay outputs (D).
The unit is microcontroller based and the button functions are custom-made.

A.2 Circuit description
Description Inputs
The inputs are opto-isolated and permanently scanned for activity. If one of the inputs change level via the input connectors, or by
pressing a button, the function associated with this button is executed. The functions are stored in a look up table, which can be
reprogrammed to customize the button functions. In case a touch panel is connected, the unit gives an interrupt, after which the
input register is read. On startup, the touch panel reads the look up table in order to be able to execute the same commands as
when the button unit is in standalone mode.
Description Outputs
A relay function can be attached to a button. In standalone mode, pressing this button causes the controller to execute the relay
function. If connected to a touch panel, pressing a button causes an interrupt on which the touch panel sends the relay function to
the button unit.
