Scaling
The
Scaling
screen is used for converting data. Raw data is multiplied by the Scale and added to
the Offset to produce the data appearing in the floating point register associated with the I/O point.
The floating point registers start at register 1001.
For example, thermocouple inputs are multiplied by 20 before being written to the Modbus register.
To convert this register value back to a temperature reading use the
Scaling
screen.
The Offset value can be used to account for errors introduced into the sensor system, such as
errors introduced because of wiring lengths in a thermocouple input system.
Other Commands
Prev and Next buttons: Scroll through the radio network devices. To advance directly to a specific
device, type the number in the Device # box and click the Update button.
Update button: Submits changed data values to the Ethernet Bridge. Changes made by clicking an
Update button are temporary until the changes are saved permanently in the configuration file.
