5.2 Replacement of modules
Replaced parts Action
PCB01, Video Engine Restore data from ServiceTool.
LCD panel After replacing the LCD, enter the LCD service serial no. into
the ServiceTool and write data to the product.
Loudspeaker(s) Enter driver calibration data into ServiceTool and write data
to the product.
Before replacement of modules
Defective part Action
PCB01, Video Engine Make complete backup of data from Chassis (Video Engine),
use ServiceTool.
In the case where the Video Engine is defective and it is not
possible to make a complete backup, a new pre-programmed
module most be ordered in the Bang & Olufsen Retail System.
LCD panel
Before mounting the new LCD, write down the service
serial no. of the new LCD.
The service serial no. is found on a label in the upper
right corner on the back of the LCD display.

After replacement of modules
Warning – Disconnect mains and wait 45 seconds before dismantling
BeoPlay V1 Power Supply and the local power supplies on the different boards
must be discharged before dismantling. This is done by disconnecting from the
mains, and then waiting 45 seconds before replacing any modules.
Warning – Static electricity
Static electricity may damage the product.
A static-protective field service kit must always be used when the product is
disassembled or modules are being handled.
Notice!
All modules must be placed on the ESD-mat or in an ESD-proof bag.
