2.4 Customer Service Menu
RESET TO DEFAULT
RESET TO DEFAULT: Leads to a submenu where to decide how much to reset. The
following options are presented in the submenu:
- RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS
- RESET WEBMEDIA TO FACTORY SETTINGS
Survey of reset parameters:
- AV connectors are configured as NONE.
- Sound presets are configured to default (Volume preset, bass, treble and balance
are configured to default, loudness off, etc.).
- Video presets are configured to default (brightness, contrast and colour adjustments
are configured to default, light sense is set to On, etc.).
- Stored TV and Radio channels are deleted. (When re-tuning channels: DVB
channels must search for Full channel search and not Free channel search). (Not
relevant for types with non-activated tuners).
- First install menu will be shown next time the device is switched on.
- Menu language English.
- Stand programming is deleted and set to default. Not used.
- Option is reset to 2 (factory default setting; can be changed by the customer).
Not affected:
- Feature activation codes (if present).
- WEBMEDIA settings; unless you specifically choose to reset the contents. (RESET
WEBMEDIA TO FACTORY SETTINGS)
RESET CI+ AUTHENTICATIONS
- RESET CI+ AUTHENTICATION: If experiencing problems with the CI+ Authentication,
the customer can be advised to reset CI+ data. When activating this menu line you
see: RESET ALL CI+ AUTHENTICATIONS Yes/No. Before confirming, a confirmation
text for this action should be shown as “Do you want to reset all CI+ authentication
information?”
PICTURE ADJUSTMENTS
WSS STATUS
WSS STATUS can be changed. WSS (Wide Screen Signalling) is used to describe
qualities of the signal content, and in particular to determine the aspect ratio of
the image. It can be DETECT ON, DETECT OFF or BROADCAST ONLY. When it is
DETECT OFF WSS detection is never used, and when it is set to broadcast only, it is
only used for the internal TV tuner, and not for external sources.
MAX.BACKLIGHT
Provides the possibilities for reducing and increasing the max. output of the backlight
to satisfy customers that either want to save more power or who are not satisfied
with the output of the white level (default value 180).
