2.22 Fault flow chart
Fault symptom
- Bad or missing function on BtB module
(Hotel Menu System)
Possible cause
- Hotel room box
- Defect connection
- Defect Main chassis
- Defect cable
- Defect DC supply
Note!
If possible, disconnect mains to both hotel
room box and BeoCenter. Wait one minute
and connect mains again.
This is done to reset all modules
If possible, try to press
MENU on Beo4 to
activate Hotel menu
If the Module is in use,
for instance in a hotel
setup, it is necessary to
press MENU - 0 - 0 -
GO on Beo4 to disable
Hotel Menu
Within 5 seconds,
press MENU - 0 - 0 -
GO once more to
enter service menu
and find BtB
Information. Choose
BtB OFF to avoid the
system switching back
to Hotel menu again
Confirm jumper
settings on PCB6
(BtB module) P04
It should be placed
between pin & 2 (5V
setting)
Correct jumper
settings
If the Module is in use,
for instance in a hotel
setup, it is necessary
to press MENU - 0 - 0
- GO on Beo4 to
disable Hotel Menu
Within 5 seconds,
press MENU - 0 - 0 -
GO once more to
enter service menu
and find BtB

Confirm DC supply to
the module

Replace Main chassis
(module 999)
Replace PCB6
(BtB module)
Read out software
version. Is it correct
Note!
For future use it is
intended to use
ServiceTool to flash
update this module
At this moment
contact Bang &
Olufsen
After replacing PCB61, BtB module:
Note!
Enter service menu and find BtB
information. Choose BtB ON to activate
Hotel menu again
When this is done the system should be
turned OFF and ON again
Note!
When mains is off, wait about one minute
before switching it on again
For first time hotel setup it may be
necessary to wait up to 0 minutes
Note!
At the hotel there must be a “test facility”
making it possible to connect the
equipment to the hotel box, testing the
complete system. Otherwise it has to be
tested in a room
Check cables from
Hotel room box to TV
Reconnect cable
Confirm DC supply to
the module
(See wiring diagram -
TV = 5V
