1. Switch on the device (Chapter 7.2 ‘‘Switching on the instrument’ on
page 20).
2. Adjust the temperature (Chapter 7.3 ‘Adjust the temperature’ on page 21).
3. Adjust the time (Chapter 7.4 ‘Adjust the time’ on page 21).
4. Touch the [start/stop button] (Ä ‘Start and stop button’ on page 13).
5. Hold plastic parts of optical frames in the air stream between the air outlet
hoods (Fig. 26/1) (Ä Chapter 4.5 ‘Air outlet hood’ on page 14).
Once the heating time is finished, a cooling
phase of ‘6s’ automatically switches on. This
switches the heating system off and only cold
air is generated.
To increase the size of the area being heated,
the plastic parts of the optical frames can also
be moved back and forth.
7.6 Using the heat concentrator nozzle
WARNING
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to hot surfaces!
Surfaces of components may become very hot during
operation. Contact of skin with hot surfaces causes seri-
ous burns to the skin.
• Do not hold any body parts in the hot air stream.
• Do not wear easily flammable clothing (e.g., materials
made from synthetic fibres, nylon).
• Only hold plastic parts of optical frames outside the
area being heated.
• Before removing the heat concentrator nozzle, ensure
that the surfaces have cooled down to ambient tempe-
rature.
• Wear gloves.
