When the [direction of rotation switch] (Chapter 7.2.3
‘Adjusting the direction of rotation’ on page 20) is in the
[L rotation] or [R rotation] switch position, the motor shaft
does not start up automatically. The motor shaft only starts
to rotate once the [direction of rotation switch] is switched
on.
After a power failure, switch the direction of rotation
switch to the middle position and then to the desired di-
rection of rotation to switch the polishing motor on again.
1. Move the direction of rotation switch to the middle position (Chapter 7.2.3
‘Adjusting the direction of rotation’ on page 20).
2. Switch the [power switch] to OFF (Fig. 16).
3. The [power switch] does not light up.
Turning off:
To turn the instrument off without disconnecting the
nstrument from the power supply, switch the direction of
rotation switch (Ä Chapter 7.2.3 ‘Adjusting the direction
of rotation’ on page 22) to the middle position. The motor
shaft decelerates in about 2–3 s.
Switching off:
When switching off using the [power switch] in the OFF
position, the motor shaft still runs for about 15–20 s.

1. Carefully bring the plastic or metal optical frame part to the rotating polishing
body.
2. Polish the optical frame part.
To stop the polishing motor between polishing, switch
the [direction of rotation switch] to the middle position.
