ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
•
It is advisable to make all connections with flexible electric wire.
•
Conductor cross-sections not specified are to be considered as 0,75
mm².
•
The power lines must be distanced from the hot parts.
•
The burner can be installed exclusively in environments with pollution
degree 2 as specified in Standard EN 60204-1.
•
Make sure that the power line frequency and voltage values comply
with those mentioned in the plate.
•
The three-phase or single-phase power supply line must have a
circuit breaker with fuses.
•
The regulations further require a switch on the burner power supply
line, to be positioned outside the boiler room and easily accessible.
•
The main line and relevant switch with fuses must be suitable to
support the maximum current absorbed by the burner.
•
An omnipolar switch with a contact opening gap equal or above 3
mm is required for the mains supply connection, in accordance with
current safety regulations.
•
Refer to the wiring diagram for electrical connections (line and
thermostats).
•
Strip the outer insulation of the power cable just as necessary for the
connection, preventing the cable to touch metal parts, and provide a
longer length for the earth conductor.
To carry out the connection of the burner to the power supply line
proceed as follows:
•
Make sure that the power supply cables are not live by locking the
main disconnector(s) to the OFF position, to prevent unwanted
operation during connection operations.
•
Remove the cover by unscrewing the screws (1), without removing
the transparent door. In this way the burner’s electrical panel can be
accessed.
•
Loosen the screws (2) and after removing the cable clamp plate (3),
make the 7 pole plug, the 4 pole plug and the modulation control
cable come through the hole. Connect the power supply cables (4)
to the contactor, secure the ground cable (5) and tighten the relating
cable gland.
•
Reposition the cable clamp plate. Turn the cam (6) so that the plate
exerts sufficient pressure on the cables, then tighten the screws that
fasten the plate. Finally, connect the related plugs and modulation
command cable, if installed.
