CONTROL AND COMMAND EQUIPMENT TGRD 61
The following description refers to the control devices with a standard working cycle. The device carries out a self-test of its efficiency upon each
start up.
During the waiting time (TW) or pre-ventilation time (TP) the internal circuit controls the correct operation of the flame signal amplifier: A parasitic
flame signal or a failure of the amplifier which corresponds to the current flame conditions prevent the equipment from starting up.
On models fitted with a fan control, it is verified that the air pressure switch contact is in the air absence position before the start of the pre-ven
-
tilation time (TP). Only if this verification has a positive outcome, the switching of the pressure switch allows the start of the pre-ventilation (TP)
stage.
The verification of the air pressure switch contacts is performed at the beginning of each cycle.
At the end of the waiting time (TW) or pre-ventilation time (TP), the gas solenoid valve EV1 is powered and the ignition device started, thus
allowing the safety time (TS) to begin.
If the equipment detects a flame signal during the safety time, the ignition device is inhibited and, in some models, the main valve EV2 is powered.
Instead, if the equipment does not detect any flame signal during the safety time, a lock out stop occurs at the end of the safety time. This closes
the solenoid valves, inhibits the ignition device and provides the lock out signal.
To better understand the operation of the individual equipment, see the cycle diagrams,
MALFUNCTION AND LOCK CAUSE DIAGNOSTICS.
In the event of a lock out, pressing the reset button for more than 5 sec, activates diagnostics (alarm signal flashing).
The alarm signal is switched off for a number of times depending on the type of lock out with a pause of 2 seconds between a series of flashes
and the next.
The table below indicates the meaning of the lock out or malfunction cause according to the number of flashes.
