MAINTENANCE
•
The burner does not require any particular maintenance, it is
recommended at least to carry out the following operations at the
end of the heating season:
•
Disassemble the filters, nozzle, swirler disk and the ignition
electrodes and clean thoroughly with solvents (petrol,
trichloroethylene, oil).
•
Use wood or plastic tools to clean the nozzle; avoid the use of
metal tools.
•
Have the burner and the chimney cleaned by specialised personnel
(stove repairer); a clean burner is more efficient, lasts longer and
is quieter.
•
Check that all components of the combustion head are in good
condition, have not been deformed and are free from deposits
deriving from the installation environment and/or from poor
combustion.
•
Clean the photoresistor. Replace it, if necessary.
•
The nozzle gets worn over time because of the fuel passage,
therefore it must be replaced when needed (faulty combustion,
ignition delay, etc.).
•
The frequency of these replacements is mainly connected with the
quality of the used fuel (presence of impurities, suspended solids)
and with the heating by radiation of the refractory material during
the burner pauses or stops.
