Function
Sensors of the BCS Q40BBAA-PIM20C-... series operate
according to the capacitive measuring principle and are
used for object detection or level detection of non-
conductive media. They detect objects and levels even
through glass and plastic walls of approx. 0.5...6 mm.
The sensor has an IO-Link communication interface that
allows direct access to the process and diagnostic data or
the configuration of the sensor, and can be parameterized
during operation. An IO-Link master is required for
communication via the IO-Link interface.
Without an IO-Link master, the sensor can be used
immediately in conventional switching mode (SIO mode).
The
Pin Assignment
function can be used to permanently
configure the outputs.
The switching outputs of the sensor are set at the factory
as follows:
Pin 4 (CQ/Q1)
Push-pull / PNP normally closed (NC) /
NPN normally open (NO)
Pin 2 (DI/Q2)
Digital input (teach input)
