Object detection calibration (flush-mount)
1.
Move the object into the desired switching range.
Note the permissible detection range of the
sensor as well as reduction factors
depending on the application!
2.
Teach (full calibration): Connect DI to supply L+ and
disconnect the Teach connection within 2…7 seconds.
⇒
Switching point is stored after disconnection. The
yellow LED flashes slowly 3x.

Level detection calibration (non-flush)
1.
Bring level to approx. 50% coverage of the sensing
surface.
2.
Teach (full calibration): Connect DI to supply L+ and
disconnect the Teach connection within 2…7 seconds.
⇒
Switching point is stored after disconnection. The
yellow LED flashes slowly 3x.

Operation (continued)
Level calibration in bulk materials container
1.
Fully cover sensing surface with bulk material.
2.
Teach (full calibration): Connect DI to supply L+ and
disconnect the Teach connection within 2...7 seconds.
⇒
Switching point is stored after disconnection. The
yellow LED flashes slowly 3x.

Empty calibration
For empty calibration the procedure is the same as for full
calibration (see example above) with the following
differences:
– The object is
not
in the detection range.
– The time window is 7...12 seconds.
5.4
Reset to factory setting
►
Connect the DI input to L+ for 30…35 seconds.
⇒
The switching threshold is reset to the factory
setting (S
n
).
5.5
Maintenance, Care, and Disposal
Sensor operation is maintenance-free.
The sensing surface should be kept clear of contamination
and build-up; if necessary clean using a non-aggressive
cleaning agent.
Repairs to the sensor are not possible.
Observe the national regulations for disposal.
