TROUBLESHOOTING
FAULT
PROBABLE CAUSE
REMEDY
MOTOR DOES NOT
RUN
1. Motor incorrectly wired.
2. Relays or motor defective.
3. Thermal protection of motor
defective.
4. Fuses blown.
5. Emergency stop button
depressed.
1. Have checked by qualified
electrician.
2. Replace faulty component.
3. Replace thermal protector.
4. Find reason for blown fuses
and replace.
5. Clear problem and turn E-
stop button to reset.
POOR TRACKING
1. Improper belt splice.
2. Worn wheel bearings
1. Check belt for irregular seam
or shape.
2. Check all bearings for
overheating or damage.
Replace worn or damaged
bearings.
CONTACT WHEEL
WEAR
1. Grinding in one area on belt.
2. Excessive grinding deposits
on belt and debris in machine.
Use entire work surface of belt
whenever possible.
2. Periodically clean interior of
grinder.
SHORT BELT LIFE
1. Excessive grinding pressure.
1. Allow the belt to do the
cutting. Excessive pressure
dulls the belt and removes the
grit from the belt.
WARNING:
Make sure the electrical disconnect is OFF before working on
the machine.
