Using the IZO torque wrench
Apply torque slowly until audible alert is heard and vibration alert is felt
in the handle.
The display will track applied torque until torque is released.
On release the PEAK value will be displayed, flashing, for 10 seconds
or until torque is re-applied.
To STORE the PEAK reading, momentarily push the
MEMORY key
while the PEAK display is flashing (optional).
The torque wrench will alert the user with a
1
⁄

-second tone and
continuous vibration at preset torque value minus tolerance percent.
Vibration stops when torque is released.
A three tone sound will indicate that the applied torque exceeds the
preset value plus tolerance percent.
Example
A torque wrench is preset to 80 Nm.
If the tolerance is set to ± 10 % then the lower
alert occurs at 72 Nm and the over torque alert
will occur at 88 Nm.
A rapidly pulsing tone indicates that the
torque wrench full-scale capacity is exceeded
and the user must stop increasing torque.
At 125 % of F.S. the display locks up and shows
“----” indicating overload of the torque wrench.
Self-test
With no torque applied, push
ON/ZERO key
to initiate self-test. If the torque wrench has been
damaged, the display will read “Err” indicating
that repair is necessary.
