You have now checked all the above mentioned proce-
dures and the unit is still not functioning appropriately.
There is the possibility that some internal component has
been damaged and it is preventing normal operation. At this
point, it is recommended that you run a diagnostic proce-
dure using function #40.
What this will do is put the PC100 into a self test of all
memories and timers.
During self test all digits and decimal points will light up
in ascending sequence. If a failure in the memory banks is
detected, then a 4 will flash. If the timers fail, an 8 will flash
and if there is a non-volatile memory failure, a 5 will flash.
Normally, the malfunction can be corrected by using func-
tion #43, Factory Default, to make sure that all values are
proper and then recycling power. Program each function
again and test the unit in operation. If the malfunction
persists, return the PC100 to the factory for evaluation.
Make sure to include a short description of the problem
so that we can test the unit for that specific condition.
CAUTION: There are no field replaceable parts inside.
Opening the unit will void all warranties.
Note: Before returning the unit to the factory call your local
representative or the factory to obtain a “Return Material
Approval”.
Carefully repack the PC100 in the original carton (or other
suitable container) and ship to:
