2-8 Exhaust Deflector Installation
For 26HP models, an exhaust deflector is required to
prevent exhaust from blowing on the collection bags.
Fasten the deflector P#(C0059) to the rear right side of
the mower’s bumper using (2) 5/16”-18 x 3/4” carriage
bolts P#(K1142) and (2) 5/16”-18 flange nuts.
NOTE: For 27HP Kohler engines, an exhaust diverter
P#(J0150) will also needed to be added to the muffler.
2-9 Upper Frame Installation
Slide the upper frame assembly P#(A0871) onto the
vertical mount tube located on the lower mount
assembly P#(A1022) as shown in Figure 2-9.
2-10 Top Assembly To Upper Frame
Installation
Lift the top assembly P#(A1046) into position, as shown
in Figure 2-10a. Fasten the top assembly to the upper
frame assembly P#(A0871) using (2) 5/16”-18 x 2-1/2”
tap bolt P#(K0125), (2) 1/4” flat washer P#(K0037), and
(2) 5/16”-18 nyloc nut P#(K1180). When fastening, leave
the nyloc nuts slightly loose to allow the top assembly to
pivot freely.
