Lay next shingle on top of 5" x 7" flashing. Secure shingle with 1" nails. Bend and place next 5" x 7" flashing up
the dormer wall and on top of shingle. Overlap flashing by 1-1/2". Secure flashing with 1" roofing nails.
Keep alternating and stepping flashing and shingles as in STEP
4 until you have reached the roof peak

You will have to trim flashing when you work near top of dormer.
Repeat STEPS 3 - 5 for both sides.
You have finished installing your dormer flashing. Proceed to complete your dormer.

DORMER FLASHING / SHINGLES
Trim, bend and nail a 5" x 7" flashing at the dormer corner

. Secure flashing with 1" nails.
Lay first row of shingles on top of flashing
(Fig. C)
. Secure shingles with 1" roofing nails. Lay second row of
shingles up to side of dormer
(Fig. C)
. Secure with 1" roofing nails. Bend, place and nail a 5" x 7" flashing up the
dormer wall and on top of shingle. Overlap first 5" x 7" flashing by 1-1/2". Secure with 1" roofing nails.
Do not nail into dormer wall.
