o PDU with plug-in connection: The socket on which the PDU is operated
must be easily accessible.
o PDU with fixed connection: A suitable disconnecting device must be
available as part of the overall assembly (IT rack) or building equipment.
To achieve complete disconnection from the mains, pull the mains plug out of
the mains socket. When pulling the power plug out of the power socket, always
pull directly on the power plug, never on the cable.
-
The PDU is designed for transient overvoltages of overvoltage
category II. When operating on equipment where the peak voltage
of overvoltage category II is likely to be exceeded, external
measures must be taken to limit the transients to the level of
overvoltage category II.
-
Only use the PDU if it is in perfect technical condition. Never use
the PDU with a damaged connection cable.
-
The PDU does not generally contain any parts for maintenance.
-
Do not bypass or disable the existing safety devices under any
circumstances.
-
The TFT display is not used to indicate whether the PDU and its
outputs are supplied with voltage. Devices connected to the power
supply circuit via the PDU must be disconnected from the PDU
before maintenance or repair work.
-
The sum of the protective conductor currents of the connected
devices could lead to an increased touch current. During
installation, make sure that the protective grounding conductor of
the PDU is connected to the protective grounding conductor of the
building's electrical system.
-
The operation of PDUs with type A plug connection (e.g. CEE7/7) is
only permitted at a socket outlet with an effective protective earth
conductor.
