4.3
TOXIC GAS SPAN CALIBRATION
The following procedure calibrates the combustion analyzer’s sensors to a
known concentration of gas.
4.3.1 CO Span Calibration - R9
Equipment Needed (See Section 6 for Part Numbers)
• Calibration Kit
• Carbon Monoxide Gas Cylinder,
• Potentiometer Adjustment Tool

Procedure
WARNING!
Perform this procedure in a well ventilated area. CO is toxic!
1. Remove control panel per Section 4.1.
2. Remove filter/trap from the analyzer’s Gas Inlet Port, located on rear
of control panel.
3. Connect the Carbon Monoxide Gas Cylinder and the Calibration Kit
together as shown in Fig. 4-7.
NOTE:
Make sure to leave the calibration setup disconnected
from the analyzer at this time.
4. Power up the analyzer as follows:
a. Turn on the analyzer by either plugging it in, or by setting its
battery pack switch to ON.
b. Press the CAL key to start the 60 second calibration cycle.
c. When the word FUEL appears on left display, press the FUEL key
to select any one of the seven fuels.
d. Press the RUN key to start pump.
