CHANGING SHOULDER STRAP SLOTS: FOR BABY USE REARWARD-FACING
A. If using the seat for the first time, you may need to
use the second set of shoulder strap slots rather
than the lowest pair of slots. Place baby in the seat
and check which shoulder strap slots are best.
B. If fitted in the car, remove the restraint from vehicle
as instructed on page 25.
C. To slacken Harness Straps, lift Harness Adjustment
Lever then grasp both shoulder harness straps and
pull outwards.
D. At the rear of the restraint, remove one of the
harness shoulder straps from metal Strap Connector
by slipping strap through open slot. It is better to
change one strap at a time.
C
ADJUSTING HARNESS STRAP HEIGHT: FOR BABY USE REARWARD-FACING
Correct fitment of the harness is very
important as it restrains the baby in the
restraint. The harness must fit firmly
around upper torso of the baby and be
positioned so as to leave the baby's arms
and legs free.
For babies in rear facing mode, the infants
shoulders must be below the lower
shoulder height marker. If your baby has
reached the lower shoulder height marker
then the restraint must be converted for
“Child Use”. (Refer to Forward Facing
section starting on page 26).
The shoulder straps must be in the slots
which are nearest to the child's shoulders,
but not lower than the child's shoulders
when in rear facing mode.
