volume when the rest of the hair is
treated.
- You will get the best result and the
crimping at the roots will last longer
if you back comb the hair sections
slightly before you use volume &
mini crimp.
• Take a hair section of approxi
-
mately 5 cm, spread it between
the plates close to the roots and
close the appliance. Press for 1-2
seconds. This time is enough for
desired lift from the scalp and ex-
tra volume.
• You should only use volume &
mini crimp closest to the hairline.
If you need to repeat the same
hair section, wait until the hair
has cooled off.
• If you are short of time, you can
easily get extra volume by using
volume & mini crimp only where
you need that extra volume.
• Brush or comb your hair after en
-
ded styling, this will make the wa
-
ves less visible. Finish the styling
by using curler or straightener if
you wish.
To crimp your hair
Some tips before starting..
- For a more marked effect, first mist
the section with hairspray and hold
the unit closed for a little longer.
- For best results, work on straight
hair or hair that has first been
straightened.
• Work with dry hair. Take up a sec
-
tion of hair, place it between the
plates and then close the plates.
Hold the unit closed for about 15
seconds. Release, and then take
up the next part of the section
using the last wave as a guide.
Always work from the roots to
the tips.
• Note! When you are crimping, you
might hear some sizzling and see
some steam. Do not be concerned,
this could be because of evapora-
tion of the sebum, some residual
hair products (leave-in hair care,
hairspray, etc.) or excess water that
is evaporating from your hair.
• Give your hair the final touch.
Set your crimped hair with a
light misting of hairspray or a
little mousse, but certainly do not
brush your hair.
• After use, press the
button and
unplug the unit.
Automatic shut off
If the crimper remains on for over
1hr 12min, it turns off automati-
cally.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
OF YOUR CRIMPER
• Unplug the unit and allow it to
cool completely.
• Clean the plates using a soft,
damp cloth, without detergent,
to preserve the optimal quality
of the plates. Do not scratch the
plates.
• Store the appliance with the pla
-
tes pressed together to protect
them.
