Securing Ends (Cont.)
To lock the end of the seam:
1. Take one stitch off the end of the fabric. (fig. F)
2. Raise the presser foot and bring the needle(s) to the hig-
hest position. Pull back gently on the fabric to clear the
stitch fingers.
3. Turn the fabric over with the wrong side of the stitch fa-
cing up (fig. G), and reposition it under the presser foot
with the needle at the seam edge, aligned with the pre-
vious needle line. (fig. H)
4. Lower presser foot and sew 5-6 stitches over the previ-
ous stitches, being careful not to cut them. You may want
to flip the cutting blade lock switch clockwise to the lock
position. Pivot the fabric and chain off. (fig. I-J)
