In this case, the required files will be stored by the internal procedure on the selected
memory.
5.1.1
Using the Internal Memory
A standard FTP Server is always available on the device from the Network. Therefore, if the device
can be reached through a network connection, an FTP Client can be used to upload or download
every file in the public area of the internal memory.
If this memory is used, the right source/destination that must be selected when required is
\FlashDisk\Extern
However if used, remember to delete the files when the process is completed. This is to avoid to fill
the internal memory with useless data.
5.1.2
Using the USB Flash Drive
All the required files can be stored in the root folder of a standard USB Flash Drive. Note that the
sub-directories are not managed and
only the files in the root folder will be usable
inside the Skynet
device.
If this memory is used, the right source/destination that must be selected when required is
\USB HD
If more USB Flash Drives are connected to the device at the same time, a sequential number is added
to this default name. For instance, the second USB Flash Drive will be identified by “
\
USB HD 2”.
Remember to connect the USB Flash Drive before starting every procedure. This is because the
system checks its presence only once before showing the list of the available sources
Moreover, wait a couple of seconds between the connection of the USB Flash Drive and the start of
the procedure. This is to be sure the operating system has the time to identify the new memory
device.

Appendix B: The Configuration Backup / Restore
These procedures allow to backup/restore all the data that can be modified starting from the
standard software (configuration, database, customized files).
The basic structure for these data is built at the first run of the application and filled by default
values. Then it can be modified to match the customer's requests (configuration and customizations)
or to support the standard usage of the system (data stored in database).
Note since only the modifiable data are managed (and not the whole software system), these
procedures make sense only if the software application is already installed on device.
