This ensure that the confirmation of receipt of the
infrared signal can be perceived during the day in
bright conditions and at greater distances.
This ensure that also in daytime at bright light con-
ditions the reception of an infrared signal can be
perceived.
Non accepted signals e.g. for blocked functions in
locked state or e.g. in Alarm command in chime mode,
are acknowledged by 0.5sec lighting.
EEPROM
All values set on the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus using the
adjustable knobs are over written using the LUXO-
MAT
®
IR-RC remote control and stored in a memory
(EEPROM).
Thus the value are saved in case of mains failure or in
operation mode accordingly to schematic.
Battery
15
The remote control is fitted with a battery in the
factory. The protective paper between the battery and
contact needs to be removed (B)
If the remote control does not work, check first that the
battery is connected to the proper terminals. (+) must
be visible when the battery compartment is opened.
Otherwise, replace the battery if necessary. Open the
battery compartment by pressing the plastic spring (A)
and pulling out the batter holder.
Putting into operation with LUXOMAT
®
IR-RC
Connect the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus to the mains and
switch on. The unit is “locked” automatically
.
Flashing the LED for a period of 1 min. indicates the
self test cycle of the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus.
No setting can be made during this period. Wait until
this minute has elapsed; the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus is now
ready for operation.
Hint: Flashing with a rate of 1sec = EEPROM empty.
I.e. the settings made with adjustment knobs control
the behaviour of the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus.
Fast flashing= EEPROM is written.
The LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus is “opened” by pressing the
key.
All settings can now be made. All the program func-
tions described in the following are permanently set
as soon as the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus is “locked”. This
means that the programs repeat themselves on a daily
basis. The exception to the rule is the PARTY, TEST-,
LIGHT OFF- and RESET-function.
Test operation:
TEST
The monitored area can be measured by paces
independently from the ambient brightness:
1sec light on, 2sec light off, following every step and
every movement. Thus, the detector can be easily
adjusted. Press the test key or any other key to quit
the test operation mode.
Hint:
To quit test mode press test key again or any other
key. The sensitivity keys
+
S
-
will not quit test
mode!
Brightness setting
Day
operation
approx.
100 Lux
-onset of dusk
approx. 25 Lux
- advanced dusk
approx.
2 Lux
- darkness
Thus the electrican can easily set the exact dusk value,
even during the day, as follows: select one of the
fixed set values, e.g. 25 lux. This guarantees perfect
funtioning from this light sensor value onwards. Should
the customer not be satisfied with this at a later date,
however, he can read in the suitable value himself.
Hint:
Sun symbol/Day operation means switching inde-
pendently of ambient brightness.
Reading in the current dusk value:
Let‘s be honest here: how many people are able
to set the correct lux value and thus the cor-
rect switch-on value of the light first off? It was and
is a matter of experimenting until the right value is
achieved! This used to mean putting up and taking
down you ladder every day until the desired value
was found - a thing of the past now with the automatic
read-in function via the LUXOMAT
®
IR-RC controller:
Just wait for the desired. current value and then simply
press the key with the “Eye“-symbol.
Hint:
When the relay or light is switched on the actual
lightvalue is read in by firstly switching off the light
3sec while the value is stored, thereafter the light is
switched on again.
Important: A lightlevel >2500 lux can not be stored,
because the internal a limit is set at 2500 lux.
Setting the time

min
Following the test phase, you can set
the desired tum-on time to between 15 sec
and 16 min to the precise second pressing the cor-
responding time key.
