Prepare the fixing holes with a 6mm drill bit and
attach the wall terminal box with the appropriate
plugs and screws.
The mains cable can be inserted into the terminal box
both from underneath and from behind.
Important: Before mounting the power supply must
be switched off!
Insert the stranded wires into the marked luster termi-
nals and secure:
– the phase wire in the terminal marked
L
– the neutral wire in the terminal marked
N
– the switched phase wire in the terminal marked

Schematics
1) The LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus is permanently ready for
operation
2) Parallel connection of a maximum of 8 LUXO-
MAT
®
RC-plus
3/5) Continuous switching readiness, however addi-
tional manual switching on is also possible. Switch
use must be replaced by opener/key (depress for
>0.5 sec.) The shortest switching period is 1 min.
Automatic of manual operation via the NC/NO-
switch.
4) Parallel operation with a staircase switch. Alter-
native switching of the lights by means of the
staircase switch or the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus
Switching of inductive loads
The connection of inductive loads such as relays,
transformers, contactors and fluorescent lamps
leads to voltage peaks that can cause the unit to
switch on again.
The voltage peaks can be avoided or reduced by
parallel connection of an anti-interference device
to the inductive load, Part.nr. 10880.

Range diagrams
In addition to its four lens planes, which are
each made up of individual circular lenses, the
LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus has the special feature of
a 360° lens directed downwards, which serves
either as creep-under protection or, in the case
of mounting above doors or in the frame itself,
permits rearward monitoring, without limiting the
frontal coverage. This increases comfort when
leaving the house.
The ranges specified are based on a fixing height
of 2.5m and an ambient temperature of 18°C. (In
spite of the integrated temperature-range-stabili-
sation, minimal range changes can occur when
the ambient temperatures increase of decrease)

plane 3 coincides with the radius of the security zone
and plane 4 lies within this zone. These values apply
for the electronic standard sensitivity and mechanical
range adjustment in the (+) position and are approx.

Operating elements and setting for the
functional test.
The operating elements are located underneath
the removable protective ring. The protective ring
can be easily removed by pressing together with
the fingers..
A= Time setting to test, which means the following
when movement is detected: 1 sec on, 2 sec. Off
(counter clockwise direction to limit stop.
B= Brightness setting: night time operation (counter
clockwise direction to limit stop, moon symbol)
C= Mechanical range adjustment: maximum setting
(+, clockwise direction to limit stop)
D= Functional display (LED behind the lens) lights up
at every movement detected..
11
As the functional display (D) cannot be easily
read in every weather, especially in strong sun-
shine and at greater distances, the connected
lighting lights up briefly to confirm the movement
detected.
Thus, the coverage of the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus
can be comfortably measured by paces.
After mounting and connecting the 230VAC
supply voltage, the LED flashed for 1 min. to
show a self testing unit.
The settings cannot be adjusted during this
cycle.
Hint:
Time adjustment at the beginning of the self test
cycle:
IMPULSE/CHIME operation, the light will be switched
