Practical options and information
Change the speed mode between 5 and 10 minutes
1. Press and hold the Record button
2. Tap the Flash Button 5 or 10 three times
3. The 5min or 10min button should activate, indicated the Speed fader is set to this certain value
Auxilary controls
The unit is equipped with two auxiliary knobs, with infinite turning capability. The AUX knobs can determine a
value between 0 and 255, just like the regular channel faders.
1. Press and hold the Record button and tap Flash button 7 or 8 three times. The display should notify you
about the activation of this mode
2. There are three options;
- FUNC1: States that the selected auxiliary control is not assigned to any channel
- FUNC2: States that the auxiliary control works like the channel fader, along with flash function
- FUNC3: States that the rotary knob acts to set the total output of the flash button below it
3. While holding the Record button, select the function you wish to activate for the auxiliary. Press Flash
button 1, 2 or 3, corresponding to the above described features
4. To assign the auxiliary to a channel, press the Flash setup button for the channel you wish to assign the
auxiliary to. This sets the channel assignment. The corresponding LED above the channel will light up,
indicating that the auxiliary has been assigned.
5. Exit the RECORD mode (see above)
Note:
Refer to the display, to see the functions that are currently being edited
Note:
Press 7 three times for AUX 1, press 8 three times for AUX 2
Note:
While assigning an auxiliary for FUNC2, the fader for that channel will be de-activated
Note:
While assigning an auxiliary for FUNC3, the channel fader and auxiliary control both work for the
channel. It has HTP (Highest Takes Priority) value settings.
DMX:
DMX is a protocol with 512 channels. Each channel may contain a value between 0 and 255 (256 values).
A lighting fixture ‘listens’ to certain channels by setting the correct DMX starting address. From that position,
the unit will listen to that particular channel and if needed, also the following channels.
For example, a 6-channel device, with a starting address of 22, will ‘listen’ to channel 22 – 27. Starting
addresses can be chosen in any particular order of connected fixtures. Also the order of the connected
fixtures is not important.
DMX-controlled devices can be daisy-chained using XLR-XLR cables. AYRA recommends the use of 110
Ohm DMX cables and a DMX terminator
(110 Ohm, see below)
at the end of a DMX chain.
