4.8. Diagnostic
Setpoints
There are six setpoints per input channel that are associated with if and how diagnostic messages
will be sent to the network bus. The user should be familiar with the SAE J1939/73 standard to
understand the impact of configuring the ECU to send diagnostic messages to the network.

NOTE: Even if Diagnostic Messaging is not enabled, the Minimum and Maximum
Error setpoints can be used to flag an error using the Axiomatic Proprietary B
scheme described in Section 2.
