AVAILABLE OPTIONS
The AVR-E3-B is available with several options, including:
-ATT Option: Adds internal relay-switched 10 dB and 20 dB attenuators to provide
improved low-amplitude performance. The attenuators are automatically enabled based
on the programmed amplitude, and can handle the full output power of the instrument.
The attenuators only act on the pulse amplitude (the offset bias tee is after the
attenuator circuit).
-EA Option: the amplitude can be controlled by an externally generated 0 to +10V
analog control voltage.
-OS Option: an externally generated DC offset can be added to the output.
-OT13 Option: Adds an internally-generated and programmable -13V to +13V DC offset
source (260 mA maximum current). The resolution is ~4 mV.
-R5 Option: This is the optional rack-mounting kit. The R5 rack-mount kit may also be
ordered separately.
-VXI Option: Adds a rear-panel Ethernet connector, allowing the instrument to be
remotely controlled using the VXI-11.3, ssh (secure shell), telnet, and http (web)
protocols. In particular, the VXI-11.3 features allows software like LabView to control an
instrument using standard VISA communications drivers and network cabling, instead
of using old-style GPIB cabling. (This eliminates the need for a GPIB controller card
and its proprietary drivers.)
