•
Ensure that the video cable from the monitor is securely plugged in to the correct connector on
the User Access Node.
•
Check the video quality using a different monitor.
Connection to remote computer is lost
•
Verify that the network cable is securely connected to the RJ-45 connector at the rear of the
User Access Node.
•
Verify that the User Access Node is linked to the network and that it is receiving data. See
LED
Identification
on page 13.
•
Verify that the remote computer is powered.
•
Ensure that both of the USB connectors from the Computer Access Node are securely con-
nected to the correct connectors on the remote computer.
•
Verify that the Computer Access Node is drawing sufficient power from the USB connections
on the remote computer and that it has booted correctly:
•
If the green LED on the Computer Access Node is on, the Computer Access Node is draw-
ing sufficient power.
•
If the Computer Access Node cannot draw sufficient power from the remote computer,
obtain an external power supply unit for the Computer Access Node from Avocent.
•
The Computer Access Node has an internal fan. Verify that the fan is functioning.
•
Ping the Computer Access Node from another PC on the network to ensure it is connected.
•

•
Verify that the Ethernet network is fully operational.
