FRITZ!Box 6360 Cable
IPv6
The FRITZ!Box 6360 Cable can be configured for IPv6. Thanks
to the dual-stack concept, IPv4 can be used at the same time,
parallel to IPv6.
The FRITZ!Box 6360 Cable supports native IPv6 in case your In-
ternet Provider offers a direct IPv6 link. IPv6 with tunnel proto-
cols can be used over IPv4 links. The FRITZ!Box 6360 Cable sup-
ports various tunnel protocols.
Firewall
The FRITZ!Box is equipped with an integrated firewall. The in-
tegrated firewall protects your network from attacks from the
Internet as long as the FRITZ!Box is operated as a router.
USB Port
The FRITZ!Box is equipped with a port for USB devices, to which
you can connect USB storage devices (hard drive, stick), a print-
er, one of the FRITZ!WLAN USB Sticks by AVM, a USB hub or oth-
er devices (see
).
The USB port supports the USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 standards.
If you use one of the FRITZ!WLAN USB Sticks by AVM, the AVM
Stick & Surf technology is at your disposal. Use Stick & Surf
to adopt the WLAN security settings from the FRITZ!Box quick-
ly and conveniently.
For connecting a printer, FRITZ!Box has a printer server. Alterna-
tively, the USB remote connection is available for the use of
printers.
Media Server
An integrated media server makes music, image and video files
available in the local network. A USB storage with a media col-
lection is simply connected to the FRITZ!Box. A suitable play-
back device linked to the local network can then play back
these media contents. Suitable devices include FRITZ!Media
and other devices compatible with the UPnP AV standard.
Network Devices
Other network devices can also be connected to the network
ports of the FRITZ!Box, for instance game consoles.
