Issues and Troubleshooting
Issue
Description
Corrective Action
Antenna does not boot-
up on start-up
Antenna is powered on and a
Telnet connection can be opened
to the Maintenance Server, but
the AAQ GUI shows no
connection to the antenna and
the CIP displays the message
“Booting Up-Pls Wait!”
It is possible that the incorrect version has
been installed. Version info is discussed in
Section 2: Software Versions.
Upload the correct software version using
one of the methods discussed in this manual
(Sections 7 or 8)
If problem persists, contact AvL Support.
Connection to the
Maintenance Server
through Telnet client is
unsuccessful.
The Telnet client will not open a
connection to the AAQ
Maintenance Server.
Check:
The port is set to 23.
Telnet is selected for the type of
connection.
IP is set to the correct antenna
address
It is possible that the incorrect software
version has been installed. Version info is
discussed in Section 2.
The CIP is non-
functional
The CIP displays the following
message “Booting Up-Pls Wait!”
Check version information for ROM and
Maintenance Server. Update
Lcd_via_Moxa.exe and Maintenance server
using one of the methods discussed in this
manual (Sections 7, 8).
If problem persists, contact AvL Support.
The system lost power
during a software
upgrade process.
Connection to the Maintenance
Server through Telnet client is
unsuccessful after software
upgrade.
Re-upload Maintenance Server Module and
*.sup package. Power cycle the system when
prompted. Do not turn off the system while
the *.sup is being applied, this can take up to
ten minutes.
Connection to the
Maintenance Server
through FTP client is
unsuccessful.
The FTP client will not open a
connection to the AAQ
Maintenance Server.
Check:
The port is set to 21.
FTP is selected for the type of
connection.
IP is set to the correct antenna
address
The Username and Password are
correct (avlftp)
It is possible that the incorrect software
version has been installed. Version info is
discussed in Section 2.
