Assigning an IP Address
Once the Avigilon Control Center Server has been licensed, you
can assign an IP address to the server. The server obtains an IP
address automatically by default, but you can configure the server
to use a static IP address.
1. In Windows, select
Start > Control Panel > Network
Connections
.
2. Right-click a network connection and select
Properties
.
3. In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, select
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
then click
Properties
.
4. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, you
can allow the server to obtain an IP address automatically,
or you can choose to assign a static IP address:
a.
Select
Use the following IP address:
then assign an
IP address
, a
Subnet mask
, and a
Default gateway
.
b.
Enter the
Preferred DNS server
address and an
Alternate DNS server
address.
c.
Click
OK
.
5. Click
OK
to close the Local Area Connection Properties
dialog box.
