If you are using the Full Duplex Handsfree accessory with the Avaya 3904 Digital Deskphone,
the minimum firmware version is 8.3.
The Display-based Expansion Module (DBA), and the Key-based Expansion Module (KBA)
require a minimum firmware release as follows:
• Display-based Expansion Module - Release 6 of NTMN67AA or later
• Key-based Expansion Module - Release 2 of NTMN37BA or later
Minimum EIPE load requirements
The Avaya 3900 Series Digital Deskphone Release 3 telephones require a minimum of
EIPE15AD.
Programmable line/feature keys (self-labeled)
The programmable line/feature keys (self-labeled) are located at the left and right sides of the
upper section of the display area on the Avaya 3903 , 3904, and 3905 Digital Deskphones.
The user changes the LCD label of these keys (except the primary directory number key) to
meet their business needs.
The Avaya 3903 and 3904 Digital Deskphone sets provide two layers of functionality using
these keys. The user accesses two Lines/Features per key. The Avaya 3904 Digital Deskphone
provides the user with 12 lines/features that are accessible on the six keys. The Avaya 3903
Digital Deskphone provides users with four lines/features that are accessible on the two keys.
The Avaya 3905 Digital Deskphone provides one layer of keys with eight line/feature keys.
Programmable feature keys (self-labeled)
Programmable feature keys (self-labeled) are the three keys located below the lower portion
of the display area on the Avaya 3902 Digital Deskphone.
