Locking the telephone

Telephone lock

You can lock your telephone to prevent unauthorized use during your absence. To unlock your
telephone, your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required.

The following functions are still available in a locked telephone:

• Answering calls

• Dialing internal call numbers

Changing the PIN

You need a PIN (Personal Identification Number) to lock your telephone against unauthorized

users and to unlock it again.

The default setting for the PIN is "0000".

In case you have forgotten your PIN, please contact your system administrator.

1. Press the

Avaya Home

button.

2. Press the

Lock

function key.

3. Press the

PIN

softkey.

4. Enter the current PIN (default setting: 0000).

If you make a mistake when entering your PIN, press the

Back

softkey and start

again from the beginning.

5. Press the

button.

6. Enter the new PIN.
