UPSHIFT (OR INCREASE IN GEAR)

his
is the change from one gear to a higher gear, i.e. from gear 1
to
8
.
This may be carried out
at any time
whether the bike is moving or stationary, and
regardless of the force on the pedals.
The gear change is sequential and has been designed so that it does not require
any special skill by the user.

he system first engages the desired gear, once this is engaged,
the system
disengages the previous gear. This allows an
almost seamless gear change
DOWNSHIFT

decrease

This is the change from one gear to a lower gear, i.e. from gear 8, to gear 1.
As it is an extremely rapid change, the climb must be performed while bearing in
mind some features of the system:
The bike incorporates a SAFETY system that inhibits downward gear changes by
the user while pushing on the pedal. In the event the wrong button is pressed or
repeated pressing of the button, this system avoids a sudden increase in pedaling
frequency that could unbalance the user, resulting in danger to themselves or others.
Therefore, to perform the downshift (increase in gear) it is necessary to slightly
decrease the effort on the pedals.
