The mechanical stop switch should be turned on when the wind speed
upwards 35 mph (16 m/s).

Survival wind speed means that the wind turbine will survive at 112
mph (50 m/s) when the mechanical stop switch is turned on.
Exceeding this will result in wind turbine failure and collapse.
