INSTRUCTIONS: REPLACING THE BALANCING SPRING 

Refer to 

Figure 27

 on the following page. 

1.

 

Remove the moving glass obstacle to facilitate access (see 

Section 10.6.

). 

2.

 

Put the plinth assembly (see 

Figure 29

) in the open position (retracted into the housing). 

3.

 

Loosen [V1] without removing it (see 

Figure 27

). 

4.

 

Remove [V2]. 

5.

 

Place the spring arm in position C (position in which the spring is least compressed). 

6.

 

Unscrew the upper balancing spring attachment point [A or B]. 

7.

 

Remove the bolt and the washer [23 and 24] from the lower attachment point [1 to 4]. 

8.

 

Remove the balancing spring assembly. 

9.

 

To reinstall the balancing spring assembly, proceed in the reverse order. 

10.

 

To adjust the balancing spring assembly, see 

Section 10.5.
