10.6.
INSTRUCTIONS: REPLACING A MOVING GLASS OBSTACLE
1.
Remove the left and right panels (see
Section 10.1.
2.
Hold the moving glass obstacle and manually disengage the locking mechanism (see item [2] on
) to release the moving glass obstacle from the open position.
The moving glass obstacle must be held in place as it will come out on its own,
because of its weight, when it is manually unlocked.
In the case of an intermediate unit, SHUT DOWN the motors of the intermediate unit
and of the units on its left and right as all motors are independent.
3.
Pull the moving glass obstacle in closed position and lock the crankshaft using a shim (see
) to make sure the obstacle stays in that position (blocking passageway).

Intermediate units have 2 moving glass obstacles; use the same method and make sure the moving
glass obstacle not being replaced is locked in closed position too.

Loosen bolts [4] without removing them (see
5.
Remove bolts [5].
6.
Remove the moving glass obstacle.
7.
Keep the plastic bushings from the old moving glass obstacle (near bolts [5]) and place them in the
holes of the new moving glass obstacle.
8.
Stick masking tape on the new moving glass obstacle where it will come in contact with the plinth.
9.
Place the new moving glass obstacle in the plinth and insert the bolts [5], but do not tighten them.
10.
Verify that the obstacle is leveled and then tighten all bolts ([4] and [5]).
