The individual charging voltage drop
test can also be selected from the
main menu
. . .followed by a selection of
Charging Cables.
You will be asked for the alternator rating and instructed to connect the large
clamps to the alternator as in the charging system test.

CHARGING SYSTEM VDROP TEST
Connect the small leads to the
battery bank - the red on the
positive main and the black
on the negative main and not
to an individual battery. The
added small external leads will
check the cables before the
alternator is tested. This is the
individual VDorp Test.

Press (Y Enter) again for an
extended menu results. Again, the
Amps are only displayed if the Amp
Probe is connected.

MULTIMETERS
Select MULTI METER from
the main menu and press
(Y Enter).
This gives the user a chance to compare the voltage from the large clamps and
the external leads.
