The Alarm List
The following is valid for the alarm list
in the DCU and RP panels.
Severity number
The number in the leftmost column,
preceding the alarm text, gives
information about the severity of the
event as follows.
This is mostly as an aid to the
colorblind, as the colors gives most of
the information otherwise.

An unacknowledged event is in
bold text.
An acknowledged event is in
normal text.
Background colors
An alarm is displayed on a
red background.
An engine shutdown is
displayed on a red background
with a small “STOP” sign.
A warning is displayed on a
yellow background.
A diagnostic message is
displayed on a
white background.
An unacknowledged event that
turned inactive before
acknowledge, is displayed on a
grey background.
For instance,
the coolant temperature may
have been above the setpoint,
and then dropped below the
setpoint again before the
operator acknowledged it.
