LIFT WILL NOT RAISE
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Air in oil, (1,7,12)
2. Cylinder binding, (8)
3. Cylinder leaks internally, (8)
4. Motor run backward under pressure, (10)
5. Lowering valve leaks, (2,3,5,9,10
6. Motor runs backwards, (6,7,10)
7. Pump damaged, (9,10)
8. Pump won’t prime, (1,7,12,13,2,11,9,10)
9. Relief valve leaks, (9,10
10. Voltage to motor incorrect, (6,13,10)
REMEDY INSTRUCTION
1.
Check oil level
The oil level should be up to the bleed screw in the reservoir with the lift all the way down
2.
Flush release valve to get rid of
Hold release handle down and start unit allowing possible contamination it to run for
15 seconds
3.
Dirty oil
Replace oil with clean Dexron ATF
4.
Tighten all fasteners
Tighten fasteners to recommended torques
5.
Check for free movement of release
If handle does not move freely, replace bracket or handle assembly
6.
Check if motor is wired correctly
Wired correctly explain
7.
Oil seal damaged or cocked
Replace oil seal around pump shaft

Return unit for repair
Return unit for repair
11.
Check pump-mounting bolts
Bolts should be 15 to 18 ft. lbs
12.
Inlet screen clogged
Clean inlet screen or replace
13.
Check wall outlet voltages and wiring
Make sure unit and wall outlet are wired properly.
LIFT LOWERS SLOWLY OR NOT AT ALL
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Cylinders binding, (1)
2. Release valve clogged, (5,4,2,3)
3. Pressure fitting too long, (6)

Check oil
Use clean 10-WT hydraulic oil or Dexron automatic transmission fluid only.
If ATF is contaminated, replace with clean ATF and clean entire system.

Clean release valve
Wash release valve in solvent and blow out with air
